Wella Professionals’ Celebrity Stylist Andy LeCompte said “glamorous, bouncy blowouts” that were “perfect red carpet hair” this season were highlights of the red carpet. While subtle simplicity, warm tones and natural beauty were reigning themes, there was a clear divide between the multi-dimensional, wavy blondes and the super sleek, lustrous brunettes.
Host Kaley Cuoco, Miley Cyrus, Faith Hill, and Julianne Hough all demonstrated the modern yet wildly feminine look—the gradual, three-dimensional color mixed with soft waves gave these ladies maximum definition that left them with a look that was far from forced yet extremely luxurious.
On the other hand, Lea Michele, Nina Dobrev, Whitney Cummings, and Shay Mitchell demonstrated effortless elegance of a whole different kind—straight strands in cool brown shades with fluid texture, volume and a premium finish that was understated and pure.
